Real Madrid Advances to Semi-Finals with Arda Güler's 2 Assists

In a showdown at MetLife Stadium in New York, the Spanish team Real Madrid faced off against the German representative Borussia Dortmund at the quarter-finals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Real Madrid emerged victorious with a 3-2 win, securing their spot in the semi-finals.

Gonzalo Garcia, with a great touch on a pass from the national footballer Arda Güler, put Real Madrid ahead 1-0 in the 10th minute. The second goal for Real Madrid came from Fran Garcia in the 20th minute. Although Borussia Dortmund pulled one back with Maximilian Beier’s goal in the 90+3rd minute, Real Madrid’s star Kylian Mbappe extended the lead to 3-1 just a minute later, assisted by Arda.

Real Madrid’s Spanish defender Dean Huijsen received a red card and was sent off in the 90+5th minute after a foul inside the penalty area, resulting in a penalty for Borussia Dortmund. Taking the penalty, Serhou Guirassy finalized the score at 3-2.

With this result, Real Madrid advances to the semi-finals and will face the French team Paris Saint-Germain. The match is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 9th.
