Turkey was shaken by a heart-wrenching news amidst the days intensified by the summer heat. A tragedy occurred during the intervention to the forest fire in Seyitgazi, Eskisehir. A total of 10 people lost their lives, including 5 forest workers and 5 AKUT volunteers, who were battling the flames.
The fire, which grew rapidly due to the scorching heat and the impact of the wind, spread over a wide area in a short time. The teams intervened vigorously to bring the fire under control. Unfortunately, the 10 heroes on duty were martyred in the midst of the flames.
After the heartbreaking news, social media was filled with condolence messages. Many famous names from the world of art and media did not remain indifferent to the disaster.
